Upcoming Concerts of Collaborative Project with Latvian composer

The Angelo Piano Duo is currently working on a collaborative project with the Latvian composer Egils Straume. The performance project will feature Straume's works in two concerts (September 29 at the Napa Valley Opera House and September 30 at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.) The program will include a world premiere and several American premieres. The Angelo Duo will join with woodwind artist Dick Mathias to perform two works: "In Memoriam" for piano duo and alto sax and a work for recorder and piano duo, which will be an American premiere. Angelo Duo New Recording Project

Plans are underway for a new recording project by The Angelo Duo, which will include "Anyuta Suite" (from Anyuta ballet) by Russian composer, Valery Gavrilin. The recording will take place this Winter and Spring with a late Spring release goal.

Salkind Festival - "A Parisian Fete"

The 4th Milton & Peggy Salkind International Piano Duo Festival united duos from Canada, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Latvia, and The United States to celebrate "A Parisian Fete" of piano duo music in Paris from 1870 to 1925. Presented at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the 2012 Salkind Festival also celebrated Debussy's 150th anniversary as well as a closing concert of music and composers with a connection to 1812, 1912 and 2012.

5th Salkind Festival - "A Baltic Voyage"

The 5th Milton and Peggy Salking International Piano Duo Festival featured A Baltic Voyage, which showcased the rich music heritage of the countries that border the Baltic Sea - Russia, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Poland and Germany. The 2014 Salkind Festival featured six distinguished American and international piano duos including: Duo Turgeio (Canada), The AR-RA Piano Duo (Latvia & Armenia), Duo Pianistico di Firenze (Italy), The Bergmann Piano Duo (Germany & Canada), the ZOFO Duet, (Switzerland & Japan) and The Angelo Piano Duo (Australia & USA).
